What is the claim of fact value and policy of the issue of covid-19

The Covid-19 pandemic has been declared as a global health emergency by World Health Organization (WHO) on January 30, 2020. The WHO also announced that it was declaring this outbreak to be a public health crisis in March 11, 2019. This declaration made all countries around the world take immediate action against the spread of coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19). On February 28, 2020, the United States President Donald Trump signed an executive order for the US government to combat COVID-19. In India too, there have been several measures taken by various states governments including lockdown of cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai etc., closure of educational institutions across the country, suspension of train services, cancellation or postponement of sports events, conferences, exhibitions, religious gatherings and other social activities. These actions are aimed at containing the spread of the virus from one person to another. However, these steps may not be sufficient enough to contain the spread of the virus. There are many factors which can affect the transmission rate of the virus such as population density, age structure, mobility patterns, contact rates between people, immunity levels among individuals, treatment options available, testing capacity, healthcare infrastructure, availability of personal protective equipment (PPE), community awareness about prevention methods, etc. All these factors play important roles in determining how fast the virus spreads within a given region. It is very difficult to predict when the epidemic will peak and end. Therefore, we need to continue with our efforts until the situation becomes stable again.
